Inu Yasha's a half dog demon, his father was the great dog demon Inu no Taisho and his mother was a mortal princess... his father died to protect Inu Yasha and Izayoi(Inu Yasha's mother) that was when Inu Yasha was born. He despite his half brother Sesshomaru because of the insults about how he was a half bread. Inu Yasha fell in love with Kikyou/Kikyo before he met Kagome 50 ago. He long wishes to be a full demon so that he could be stronge and no-one could insult him anymore. When he stole the Shikon no Tama(shikon Jewel or "Jewel of Four souls") from Kikyou/Kikyo wh was guarding it, he was pinned to the wall by Kikyou/Kikyo's ast energy to do so, he fell into a deep sleep for 50 long years.
Inu Yasha was released by Kagome when he first met her, he thought she was Kikyou/Kikyo by her looks she does look like her...kinda. and their journey begans for hunting down the shikon shards before their enime Naraki could get to them and do something no-good. They then encounter Miroku, shippo, Sango and Kirara(Kilala) their quest to hunt down Naraku. Between Inu Yasha, Kagome an Kikyou/Kikyo, there's been some rough edges, Inu Yasha was stuck in between, he onec said to Miroku that if he could have both 0o0 Inu Yasha's weapon was tetsaiga, a sward made by Inu no Taisho's fang, one swing can slay 100 demons. It's also a seal between Inu Yasha's demon blood and him human blood, in one of the episodes, tetsaiga had break into two by Goshinki, onw of Naraku's attachment, that's when Inu Yasha was in danger, his demon blood took over him and killed Goshinki, Kagome finally calm him down with a "Sit!"(Osuwari) Inu Yasha also has other kinds of attacks not using tetsaiga, Exoricising Claws of Steel (散魂鉄爪,Sankon Tesso)using his bare claws that slice through demons, Blades of blood(飛刃血爪,Hijin Kesso) combined with Inu Yasha's blood and Sankon Tesso, created like a boomerang like leave to cut demons or others.
Tetsaiga has 3 attacks, the wind scar(風の傷,Kaze no Kizu), Explosive Flowing Wave(爆流破,Bakuryuha) Daimond Explosive Flowing Wave (kongo-Bakuryuha. And has 5 different kinds of form, the old rusty form, the true form that helps in battles, the Crimson form to break through barriers, Daimond form(金剛槍破, Kongosoha) that tetsaiga turns into a daimond sward allows him to break through barriers and finally the dragon-Scaled form, gained in the manga after the anime ended, this form absorb energys to attack others. Inu Yasha also have a combination attack with Kagome, combining his Bakuryuha and Kagome's Purifying arrow to against other stronger demons.
The name "InuYasha" literally means "dog demon" Inu犬 is a japanese character meaning dog and Yasha 夜叉 can betranslated roughly as "Demon" he wears a robe are made from legensary "Fire Rat(Hinezumi)fur" which is said to be fireprood and "stronger than poor armour" all red, a Hakama, a japanese like pants like the Sashinuki styple that Sesshomaru wore, a Jacker(Hitoe) looks like a kimono, but too short to be. a shirt)Kosode) commonly worn as underwear during the Kamakura era. an Obi the one that ties like a ribbon, and his necklace that a spell was put on him by Kaede.
